Aero-Shield Capital is led by Richard Bulanda, an accomplished aerospace executive and two-time aviation company founder with over 30 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, aftermarket leasing & trading, MRO operations, and aerospace manufacturing. His entrepreneurial achievements include building Red-Eye Aerospace into a diversified global aftermarket organization with PMA/OEM manufacturing, leasing and FAA-145 repair capabilities, and previously founding and selling Bulanda Air Services. Both demonstrating a proven track record of value creation and strategic growth.
Richard has also held senior leadership roles within Fortune 500 and global aerospace companies, including TurbineAero and United Airlines, where he drove operational performance, major contract negotiations, supply chain transformation, and cross functional organizational improvement. Today, he guides Aero-Shield Capital with a disciplined investment approach, combining technical expertise, industry relationships, and operational rigor to provide aviation customers and capital partners with a trusted and well aligned powerplant asset solution.
